Tutoring

I specialize in K-8th math education. Having taught elementary and middle school math covering most grades, I have an extensive knowledge of the K-8th math progression. If your student is struggling, I know what holes to fill from previous years. If your student needs some challenge, I know what comes next (and also how to deepen the learning rather than just speeding it up).

My main goal when teaching math is to help learners understand the WHY behind the math, building deep mathematical understanding using a multi-sensory approach. Manipulatives and concrete, physical models are the preferred tools before we get to abstract numbers and formulas.

I also provide reading, writing, science, and history tutoring at a lower rate.

Tutoring Services

• 1 on 1 K-8 Math Tutoring - $60 per hour

• Other K-8 Tutoring (Phonics, Reading, writing, science, history) - $50 per hour

• Group Session - $30 per hour per student (2-3 students)
